On this day trip you head to Saanane national park, a small wildlife sanctuary covers an area of 2. 8 square km. The park is located on an island, on Lake victoria. It is the smallest national park in the country.
The park is perfect for a quick excursion and it will amaze you. Encounter animals in closer range, walking safaris and water sports such as canoeing.

Day 1 Arrive in Zürich, Switzerland
The safari starts early morning soon after your breakfast. Leave your accommodation in Mwanza town with packed lunch. Arrive at saanane Island National park office, just 5 minutes’ drive from town and 15 minutes’ walk.
Will then take a boat which is 15 minutes to the Island while taking a nice view of Mwanza Rock city.
Soon after arriving at the park, do a walking safari around the Island with a professional and armed guide until lunchtime.
Expect to see animals like Impalas, Lizards, Monitor Lizards, Rock hyrax, a crocodile on the lakeshore, and abundance of bird species.
After lunch, take a further walking before going to take about back to Mwanza. You will arrive in
town in evening for dinner and overnight.
