Your adventure to Mt. Kilimanjaro will kick off after a hearty breakfast. Your designated driver will collect you from the hotel and transfer you to the quaint village of Marangu. Upon arrival at the Marangu gate (1,980 m), you’ll check in at the Park Office to formalize your entry. From there, trek through the lush rainforest toward the Mandara encampment.
En route, consider a detour to Maundi Crater for panoramic views of Northern Tanzania and Kenya, offering a breathtaking perspective of the surrounding landscape. As you traverse the rainforest, watch for majestic Eucalyptus trees, diverse birdlife, and playful Colobus monkeys swinging through the canopy.
After a rewarding hike, replenish your energy with a delicious lunch before returning to the park gate. From there, you’ll be chauffeured back to the comfort of the Arusha Gate-away lodge, where you can unwind and reflect on the day’s memorable experiences.
Your day will kick off with a delightful breakfast at your hotel, setting the stage for an adventure-filled journey ahead. You’ll be picked up and driven approximately 10 miles to the Arusha National Park gate, where the lively Colobus Monkeys will warmly welcome you as you begin your walking safari. After enjoying a hearty breakfast, set out on an early morning drive from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park, covering a distance of approximately 124.7 km in about 2 hours and 24 minutes.
Despite its size, Lake Manyara is home to a plethora of mammals, including zebras, lions, baboons, impalas, wildebeests, hippos, elephants, and buffaloes, offering ample opportunities for wildlife sightings. The park’s tranquil ambiance provides the perfect setting for relaxation and rejuvenation amidst nature’s splendor.
For adventurous, thrill-seeking nature enthusiasts, Lake Manyara is truly a paradise. After a day of exciting exploration, unwind and enjoy dinner at the Fig Tree Campsite, where you’ll also spend the night under the starry African sky, surrounded by the sounds of the wilderness.
After a satisfying breakfast at the campsite, your adventure continues with a journey spanning approximately 132 km, taking approximately 3 hours and 5 minutes, to the endless plains of the Serengeti. Traveling in our open-roof 4WD vehicle, you’ll have the perfect vantage point to soak in the stunning landscapes and anticipate encounters with the park’s diverse wildlife.
As you traverse the Serengeti, be prepared to witness an unparalleled diversity of wildlife, including iconic species such as lions, elephants, giraffes, and wildebeests. The park is renowned for hosting the spectacular Great Migration, an awe-inspiring natural phenomenon recognized as the greatest wildlife show on Earth.
In the afternoon, you’ll arrive at your destination for the day, the Seronera Campsite, where you’ll enjoy dinner and spend the night under the star-studded African sky. Prepare to be enchanted by the sounds of the wilderness as you immerse yourself in the heart of the Serengeti.
In the morning, we’ll embark on an exhilarating game-viewing drive along the Sogore River Circuit, tracing the path that loops into the plains south of the Seronera River. This route is renowned for offering prime opportunities to spot a variety of wildlife, including lions, Thomson’s gazelles, topis, ostriches, and cheetahs. Keep your eyes peeled for these majestic creatures as we traverse the Serengeti’s breathtaking landscape.
In the afternoon, our adventure continues with a journey along the Kopjes Circuit, which winds anti-clockwise around the Maasai Kopjes. These rocky outcrops are known to attract a plethora of wildlife, including lions and formidable cobras. The kopjes are particularly renowned for wildlife sightings during the dry seasons, as animals gather around them for water sources. As the day draws to a close, we’ll return to the Seronera Campsite for dinner and overnight accommodation, surrounded by the tranquil ambiance of the Serengeti wilderness. Prepare to be serenaded by the sounds of the African night as you settle in for a restful sleep under the starry sky.
After a satisfying breakfast, we’ll embark on a thrilling morning game drive in the Serengeti National Park, covering approximately 113 km in about 2 hours. This iconic park offers unparalleled opportunities to witness Africa’s most majestic predators in their natural habitat. Lions roam freely, often seen feasting on their recent kills, while cheetahs gracefully traverse the Southern Plains in search of prey. Keep your eyes peeled for leopards lounging lazily in the branches of towering trees along the Seronera River.
After an exhilarating morning safari, we’ll pause for a delicious lunch before embarking on the next leg of our journey toward the Ngorongoro Crater. As the aroma of freshly brewed coffee fills the air, your senses will awaken to the excitement of a new day in the wild. Prepare for an exhilarating morning game drive in the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, covering a distance of approximately 139.1 km in about 2 hours and 53 minutes.
The Ngorongoro Crater is a haven for wildlife, boasting an astonishing array of species that call this natural wonder home. After an early rise, we’ll embark on a captivating morning game drive in Tarangire National Park, covering approximately 154.1 km in about 2 hours and 33 minutes. This park is renowned for its breathtaking beauty and offers an unparalleled game-viewing experience that will leave you in awe.
As our 6-day tour comes to a close, you’ll return to Arusha, reflecting on the incredible sights and experiences you’ve encountered along the way. Prepare to rest and recharge for the adventures that await you in the days ahead.
Your day will start with a pick-up from your hotel at 06:30 am, heading towards Moshi. Upon reaching the village office, you’ll register and receive an informative briefing to prepare you for the day ahead. Then, embark on a delightful 40-minute walk to the Materun Falls, where you’ll be captivated by the towering 80-meter-high waterfall. Along the way, immerse yourself in the local cultural life and traditions, gaining insights into the Chagga community’s way of life.
In the late afternoon, set out for the hot springs, navigating the bumpy and winding road for over an hour.
