Itinerary
Day 1Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Depart from Arusha in the morning and drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Enjoy a game drive, spotting elephants, lions, giraffes, and various bird species. After your game drive, transfer to Farm of Dream Lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Tarangire to Southern Serengeti
After breakfast, drive to the Southern Serengeti. Arrive by the afternoon and embark on a game drive in this area, renowned for the Great Migration, particularly during the calving season. Check-in at a lodge or camp in the Southern Serengeti for dinner and overnight.
Day 3Full Day in Ndutu (Southern Serengeti)
Spend the day in the Ndutu region with morning and afternoon game drives. The area offers exceptional wildlife viewing, especially during the calving season. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush and continue your game drives. Return to your lodge or camp in the Southern Serengeti for dinner and overnight.
Day 4Ndutu to Central Serengeti
After breakfast, drive to the Central Serengeti. Arrive by the afternoon and start a game drive in this prime wildlife area, known for its high density of lions, cheetahs, and large herds of gazelles. Check in at Matawi Serengeti Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 5Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in the Central Serengeti. Then, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, arriving at the crater rim in the late afternoon. Check-in at Ang’ata Camp for dinner and overnight, with stunning views of the crat
Day 6 Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu
After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive. Explore the crater’s diverse wildlife, including elephants, rhinos, lions, and buffalo. After a picnic lunch in the crater, drive to Farm of Dream Lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.
Day 7Karatu to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast at Farm of Dream Lodge, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. The park is known for its birdlife, tree-climbing lions, and large herds of elephants. Enjoy a game drive and a picnic lunch in the park. In the late afternoon, check in at Lake Manyara Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 8Lake Manyara to Mto wa Mbu Cultural and Biking Tour
After breakfast at Lake Manyara Safari Lodge, drive to Mto wa Mbu for a cultural and biking tour. Explore the village and its surroundings on a bike, visiting local markets, farms, and community projects. Learn about the village’s culture, traditions, and daily life. Enjoy a traditional lunch in the village. Return to Arusha in the late afternoon, where you can relax or prepare for your departure
