After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive from Tarangire to the southern Serengeti, arriving in the famed Ndutu region. Keep an eye out for predators like lions and cheetahs, drawn by the abundance of prey. After an exciting day, relax at Heritage Lodge, where you’ll be treated to cozy accommodations and a welcoming atmosphere.
Spend the entire day exploring the Ndutu area, a hotspot for wildlife during the migration season. Follow the massive herds as they move through the region, and observe the dynamic predator-prey interactions that unfold. You’ll have ample opportunities to capture incredible wildlife photographs while enjoying the comfort of a private game drive. As the day concludes, return to Heritage Lodge for a well-deserved rest.
Begin your morning with one last game drive in the Ndutu area, soaking in the beauty of the region’s open landscapes and rich wildlife. In the evening, transfer to the Simba Campsite on the Ngorongoro Crater rim, a public campsite that offers breathtaking views of the crater and a rustic yet rewarding camping experience.
Descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. Explore the “Garden of Eden,” home to one of the densest concentrations of wildlife on the planet, including the endangered black rhino, lions, elephants, and a variety of bird species. After your crater adventure, head to the village of Mto wa Mbu, where you’ll camp at Ngedere Campsite & Lodge, a charming budget accommodation nestled within the village.
Start the day with a guided bike and cultural tour of Mto wa Mbu, a bustling village offering an authentic glimpse into local Tanzanian life. Following this, hike to the stunning Materuni Waterfalls, a tranquil spot surrounded by lush forest.
