6-Day Migration Calving Season with Crater, Garden of Eden

 Depart from Arusha in the morning and drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and distinctive baobab trees. Enjoy a game drive through the park, spotting elephants, lions, giraffes, and various bird species. After your game drive, drive to Farm of Dream Lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight, relaxing in the tranquil surroundings.

After breakfast, depart from Farm of Dream Lodge and head towards the Ndutu region within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive in the early afternoon and embark on a game drive in Ndutu, known for its rich wildlife and seasonal Great Migration. Check in at Ndutu Heritage Camp for dinner and overnight.

Our morning drive takes us from Swiss lakes to Swiss Army. At the once-secret Swiss army bunker at Fortress Fürigen, we’ll see part of the massive defense system designed to keep Switzerland strong and neutral. Afterward, a short drive into the countryside brings us to the charming Alpine village of Engelberg, our picturesque home for the next two days. We’ll settle into our lodge then head out for an orientation walk. Our stroll through the village will end at the Engelberg Abbey, a Benedictine monastery with its own cheese-making operation. You’ll have free time to wander back before dinner together. Sleep in Engelberg (2 nights). Bus: 1 hr. Walking: light.

 Spend the day exploring Ndutu with morning and afternoon game drives. The region offers incredible wildlife viewing opportunities, especially during the Great Migration or the calving season. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush and continue your game drive. Return to Ndutu Heritage Camp for dinner and your second overnight stay.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu  After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. Explore the crater’s diverse wildlife and landscapes, including elephants, rhinos, lions, and buffalo. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before driving back to Farm of Dream Lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay. This allows for a more relaxed evening after a full day of exploring.

After breakfast at Farm of Dream Lodge, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. The park is known for its rich birdlife, tree-climbing lions, and large herds of elephants. Enjoy a final game drive and a picnic lunch in the park. Afterward, return to Arusha by late afternoon, concluding your 6-day safari adventure.
