Itinerary

Day 1Arusha to To Materuni Village

You will be picked up from your hotel at 8:00 am, and we will head towards Moshi. You will have a short hike for approx. 40 min to the waterfall. On your way to Materuni Falls, you will learn about the local culture and the flora & fauna of the area. After observing the 80 m high waterfall, you will come back to the village for lunch. You will be served a local cultural buffet, with delicious fruit as dessert. You’ll be shown how to make the perfect coffee, and afterward, you will drive 1 hour in the direction of Boma Ngo`mbe where you will be amazed at an oasis filled with hot water. You will have a barbeque and overnight at Chemka Springs campsite.

Day 2Chemka Village to Marangu Gate to Arusha

You will start your journey after breakfast. Our driver will pick you up from Chemka and transfer you to Marangu gate (1,980 m) from where your journey will start. Firstly, sign in at the park office. Walk through the rainforest to the Mandara encampment. A side trip to Maundi Crater is a good way to see the surroundings, including Northern Tanzania and Kenya. In the rainforest, look for towering eucalyptus trees, birdlife, and Colobus monkeys. After lunch, hike back to the park gate and drive back to Arusha Tourist Inn Hotel for the next day’s safari.

Day 3Arusha to Tarangire to Arusha

After breakfast, we will collect you from your hotel and drive along a scenic route to Tarangire National Park. This beautiful park offers you an unparalleled wildlife viewing experience, and during the dry season, elephants abound. Breathtaking views of the Maasai steppe and mountains in the south make a stopover at Tarangire a memorable experience. You can see animals such as elephants, zebras, buffalo and oryx venturing from Maasai to Tarangire in search of water. There are also a few lions prowling around looking for unsuspecting prey around the bush. There are more breeding species of birds found in Tarangire National Park than anywhere else on the planet. In the afternoon after lunch, we drive back to Arusha with a lot of stories to tell.
